With filming our 2D and 3D animations there are alot of things to consider; things like planning and research are the first things that need to be carried out as before you can make a project you need to know the ins and outs of it so you can work to the highest standard. Other things we did were things like mood an storyboards along with other stuff like scripts and production schedules. Once all our planning had been done we could then start making our characters out of polystyrene. This was probably the most fun out of making our production. With the planing done we could start filming; we had two days scheduled which in that time the production had to be finished; this would then leave us enough time to edit without finishing behind or after the deadline. The editing was easy as we left an empty second after each clip as it gives you space to cut if there are mistakes.
With our 2D it was much easier as there was less to edit and film because unlike to 30 seconds for the 3D we only had to fill 10' this was really fun as cut=out animation gives the look of a home made movie which i think turned out well.

evaluating- evaluating a project is very important as it gives you an idea of how you did overall. being constructive and honest against your work is helpful as it sets you up for how you would have to work in a real company or job. Other things that you get out of evaluating your work is an overall idea of what you can improve on and it sometimes highlights mistakes you made. Whilst evaluating our project i feel quite a few things could have been improved and now looking over things i can safely insure that in future projects I will make them amendments.

When thinking about focus groups, you have to make sure you intend to get the most accurate information you can, as this will help you work out how well the animation has come across to the viewer. It's one of the only ways to get immediate feedback. it is also important as it's a technique that can b used within other projects.

It is important to maintain high group standards to achieve as much as you can, this is did by keeping on top of meeting minuets and also things like sticking to our production schedule; both are important to keep on track with to insure a smooth process.
I took hold of doing the voiceovers and after a few attempts i feel i nailed it by the finished product looking the an actual advert.

When talking about our target audience the things we thought about was what age will people most likely be getting into debt. After alot of deliberation we decided on a target audience of 18-30 where being in debt is most likely. We researched this fact by conducting our own questionnaire with both qualitative and quantitive questions; this gave our group a much more wide range in terms of results and made it easier to work out who to aim our pitch to.
THE EDITING PROCESS- we had to export all the files into a quicktime folder and import them all into final cut pro. we then started working with our clips and sorting them into what order we needed. After we had put them in the order we then had to cut down our clips as it was over the time we was allowed. We then reworked our voiceover part as the initial voiceover was too short. By the time this unit came around it was the third or fourth time we had used final cut pro, so editing our clip was very easy. we also had worked on and finished our 2d animation which was very easy compared to the 3d. We had a basic idea of our characters being ourselves and in a credit style just showing who we are. We saw this as a nice touch to our production as it links in well with the end of our 3d.

For the last two weeks our group have been creating our characters and set for our animation. This required alot of hard work and planning, we had to make sure that our character was in proportion with the set as well as maintaining a thought through idea. Once our set and character were made we could begin work on our final project. This was only made possible because of our idea being finished. Idea meaning that all the pre-production was at a good standard. All storyboards scripts and other things had to be 100 percent finished; which they were. We had two days for our scheduled filming and on each day we worked hard to make sure that we finished on time. The hardest thing we found when carrying out our project was the amount of attention to detail that was needed throughout and being complacent could not be tolerated. After the first day we managed to have completed a third of the animation leaving alot of work to do for the second day.

Today we were asked to write up a key note presentation that highlights what we intend to do with the production. It is important to produce c clear presentation to pitch to a client to insure that the client understands what needs to be done within the project. A good level of communication is needed within any project to ensure that both you and the client are on the same page. We each wrote out three slides and together will be a good level presentation that will hopefully be well received when marked. we had to also input effects on the keynote like with the writing having it swoop and bounce in creating another visual aspect.
Managing our group: to maintain our groups progress we have made sure that we keep track and on top of things like meetings and discussions to ensure the project runs smoothly. This is really important as it enables you to learn how to work in the real world or company.

Today we were asked to write a proposal for our clients regarding the production of our advert. All three of us in the group contributed to this by writing 300 - 500 words each. The points I covered in my section of the proposal were introduction to production team, skills, previous work, codes of practice, production schedule and finally the contingency plan. Each of these points are key for any employer to want to know about. I wrote it as if i was speaking straight to them as I felt it sounded more personal.
We then proof read each others documents to ensure the proposal flowed and also made sense against each others sections. This is important to do to ensure the documents are both spell and grammar checked

When we first were told to think about a subject for our adverts, we thought long and hard and after alot of deliberation we settled on making an advert about people and problems with being in and beating debt.
For me, the most relevant subject out of the ones offered was beating debt. As it involves alot of aspects that people can relate and have been through. This is perhaps because of the relevance the subject involves with life being the way it is today. This demonstrates a subject that has alot to offer and one that would make our advert very easy to put across. Having practiced with claymation I now feel confident in creating the advert as some of the techniques needed have already been covered. Additionally we have had to cover things like scripts, story boards and mood boards; these things are important as it gives a first idea of how the production will be when it has finished. this sort of things all come under the pre-production stage which is important because without it there would be no production what so ever. I have slightly developed my knowledge of animation in the short time we have learned about it and now feel able to do more within my group. This makes me feel that my input into the group is more needed which in turn makes me work that little bit harder, as a next step i need o continue working the way I am in order to maintain the best for my group. In terms of claymation at first I knew very little, but as I experimented and tried making models/sets etc. I became very fond of claymation and enjoyed it.

Today we learnt how to use Flash Player. This enabled us to create different types of animation both still and active. We experimented with the different tools, trying to become familiar with the software. I now am eager to use the software again to try and better myself and learn more about the software. Flash player is a good software to learn along with obviously final cut pro and indesign. All three are needed in the world of media so learning and using at college level is very good.
